Kalamazoo Marathon May 7th, 2017

A note from Mindy with the Kalamazoo Marathon…Let’s spread the word!!

Here in Kalamazoo, Michigan we attempt each year to get a runner from all 50 states to run our Marathon.  As an incentive we award the first registrant from each state with: • free race entry • a free pair of New Balance running shoes • free meal ticket • VIP 50-State tent at the race As of noon Monday, January 16th, we did not have a registrant from NEW HAMPSHIRE, and I am hoping you will help us spread the word! We update the 50-State Challenge status on our website each Monday at noon (Eastern Time). (www.TheKalamazooMarathon.com) The Kalamazoo Marathon is on May 7, 2017. We would appreciate it if you could let the runners in your community know about this opportunity to be our 50-State Challenge winner! Mindy Wood www.TheKalamazooMarathon.com mindy@borgessrun.com

Runner by Day, entrepreneur by night?

…or maybe entrepreneur by day.  Either way, and no matter what your gig might be, it is always a reason to run AARC track workouts.  Our very own Dick Kuhl was featured in a recent issue of New Hampshire Business Review.  Check out the article (link below) to see what Dick has been up to.  Actually if you own a vacuum cleaner, its worth a read.

Track works outs start early spring but don’t forget a group of AARC runners meet every Wednesday night at 5:30pm in the parking lot across the street from the fire station on Mammoth rd.

Input needed on South Manchester Rail Trail extension project

The public is invited to attend a Local Concerns Meeting on January 4, 2017, at 6:30 PM in the Manchester Public Works building located at 475 Valley St. in Manchester for discussion of two Rail Trail / Bike and Pedestrian connection projects in Manchester (see map above). The intent of the meeting is to collect input from the public, municipal officials, resource agencies, and abutting property owners on their ideas and concerns relative to the existing bike and pedestrian conditions along the project corridors as part of the data collection phase. Proposed design alternatives will be presented at a subsequent meeting. Two projects will be discussed as follows:
