You did not get the Holiday Party invite??

I have heard from just a few that they did not get the Holiday Party invite.  Well…were you naughty or nice?  Or maybe we simply do not have your email address…or correct email address.  Maybe we had your email address as fluffy slippers@santa.northpole,  or Iwoncornhole@tools.org… If so, I don’t know who you are.  

If you did not receive the invite, please respond to this post with your name and email address.  We have lots of new communication tools such as surveys so our members can make decisions, suggestions etc and we are excited to talk about all this and more at the Holiday Party!!  Anders has been working hard behind the scene so lets make sure you get all the new scoop!!

Wednesday Night runs – DCC

Not a morning person, hate running in the morning, dark mornings not your thing?  Good for you that Wednesday night runs from DCC have resumed!!  Mileage varies.  It’s all up to you or the person that ropes you into doing more than you every wanted to do :-).

5:30 pm DCC (Derryfield country club).  Meet in lot across from fire station.  

What Snow?? See you at 5:20am for MILL CITIES RELAY TRAINING!!


27 MILES-5 LEGS-2 STATES-1 River

Cut down workout – to stimulate running fast on tired legs. 4x 1200 m repeats w/ 400m recovery jog. Start at half marathon pace. Each rep we will pick up the pace by 10-15 seconds per mile.

Weather is 30 degrees, layer up! Good idea to get a mile or 2 in before we start. I will be leading plyometrics at 5:20 with a few strides to boot. 1200’s start at 5:30.

Wednesday track – Getting ready for Mill Cities!!



27 MILES-5 LEGS-2 STATES-1 River


Coach Porter has a track workout planned for tomorrow, November 8th, 5:00am, Livingston track, designed for Mills City!  That said, a work out is a work out!  Please join us!

5:05am-ish: 1-2 mile warm up

5:20am:  Plyometrics & Strides

5:30am:  4×1200 w/ 400m easy recovery (or 4×800 if you are running 2.5 mile leg) at Mill Cities goal race pace.  A pace chart will be available for those who need splits.  

Weather looks chilly so layer up on the legs.

If you are just looking to run around the track, you will have good company!!

Half marathon on dirt roads in High Spring through the world famous Dandelion Fields of Derby, Morgan, and Holland, Vermont. Fiddlers and Musicians scattered throughout the route and back at the picnic lunch and after party. With 10 K, 4 mile and 2 mile options for all ages. It’s May! It’s Time to Run! Just for the Fun of it!

Freedom Run, July 4, 2018

10 Mile run or walk on the Newport-Derby Bike Path and the Memphremagog Ski Touring Foundation trails, with 10 K, 5 K, and 1 mile options. We celebrate Freedom from Tyranny. Freedom from Asphalt. And Freedom to choose our distance mid-run.
Held in conjunction with July Fourth Festivities in Gardner Park, Newport, VT
Fly to Pie – Sept 30, 2018
The height of Fall Foliage. 26.2 miles of “vista riddled” dirt roads through “the gut” of the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. All the pizza you can eat at Parker Pie, West Glover. Hill Farmstead beer on tap. And, at the mike, Geoff Goodhue with Beg, Steal or Borrow. With 6 mile, 13.5 mile and 17 mile run, bike, and hike along with The Family Challenge.
